CMA CGM declares force majeure over US ports strike, passing costs on to customers

CMA CGM has declared force majeure over the strike that has closed container terminals across a huge swathe of the US coast, and invoked a clause to pass costs on to customers.

The French liner giant told customers that it invoked Term 10 of its bills of lading, which shields the company from costs for events outside of its control.
