Tsavliris Salvage has been contracted to refloat a Navios Maritime Partners supramax bulker that ran aground on a reef off the Maldives.
Lloyd’s Salvage Arbitration Branch reported that the Greek salvage company was appointed under a Lloyd’s Open Form (LOF) contract. The contract incorporates a special compensation protection and indemnity club clause, known as Scopic.
The 58,735-dwt Navios Amaryllis (built 2009) grounded on 19 August.
