Finland's ESL Shipping has decided to reflag a newbuilding after union pressure.
The 23,650-dwt cargoship Haaga (built 2018) was registed in Finland, after being moved from the Portuguese flag as a part of a deal with its union.
The change took place on Friday in Kokkola, Finland
"We found a constructive solution with unions and are proud to finally hoist the Finnish flag onboard the Haaga,” said Mikki Koskinen, managing director of ESL Shipping.
