Dubai-based containership owner Transworld Group has furthered its presence in the dry bulk shipping market with the purchase of a third handysize bulker this year.
Ramesh Ramakrishnan-led Transworld has acquired the 36,699-dwt TBC Praise after buying the 38,215-dwt TBC Passion (ex-Asahi Maru, built 2011) in March from Japan's Yokoyama Kaiun.
It also bought the 38,500-dwt TBC Prime (built 2011), the former Turquoise Ocean, from Santoku Senpaku.
