Taiwan’s U-Ming Marine Transport is splashing out $68m on two “attractively priced” bulk carrier newbuildings in its debut deal at New Dayang Shipbuilding in China.
U-Ming confirmed the contract for the ultramax duo to be delivered in the second half of 2024. The deal lifts its newbuilding spend to $718m in the past three years.
