Swire Shipping is growing its multipurpose (MPP) heavy-lift fleet with the charter of three handysize vessels from German shipowner Reederei Rord Braren.
The Singapore shipowner’s projects business arm has taken the 28,000-dwt ‘African class’ vessels, built between 2010 and 2011, on firm charter period of three years with options to extend.
Delivery of the vessels is scheduled to commence from the fourth quarter of this year and into the beginning of 2023.
