Safe Bulkers has inked in three more "green" kamsarmax newbuildings, bringing the number ordered since late last year to eight ships.
The Polys Hajioannou-led bulker owner has bought the latest round of Japanese-built, 82,000-dwt vessels "at attractive prices" with one unit expected to be delivered in the last quarter of 2023.
The other two newbuildings are set to be delivered in the first quarter of 2024.
