Paris-based electrification specialist Nexans once again has turned to Norwegian shipbuilder Ulstein Group to build a cable-laying vessel (CLV).
Ulstein Group announced on Friday that Nexans awarded the contract to construct a newbuilding at the Ulstein Verft shipyard in Norway, after building the 149-metre length overall (loa) Nexans Aurora there in 2021.
Nexans has one other cable layer — the 118-loa Nexans Skagerrak (built 1976).
