Navibulgar’s spending on handysize Great Lakes-fitted bulkers at Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has reached $192m.
The Bulgarian shipowner has exercised options for two more newbuildings at the Jiangsu shipyard, bringing its tally there to eight.
Four of the vessels were ordered two years ago and two were booked in February this year. Now sources said Navibulgar is the company behind orders for two 31,800-dwt Great Lakes bulkers that the Chinese shipbuilder disclosed early this week.
