Norway’s JL Mowinckels Rederi has invested in an eight-year-old, Japanese-built supramax bulker in an off-market deal.
The company has taken a large minority stake in the 55,900-dwt Matsue (built 2011) and has become its commercial manager.
Mowinckels CEO Geir Belsnes confirmed the deal for the IHI-built bulker, which the company has already taken over and renamed Lista.
