Two capesizes held over by cash buyers from earlier in the year have been resold into Pakistan as the scrap sector struggles with lower prices.
The unnamed owner of Korea Line Corp’s former 171,000-dwt Okra (built 1999) has offloaded the bulk carrier into Pakistan at $505 per ldt, TradeWinds is told.
The ship was originally sold for recycling in July at a price of $530 per ldt, and intended for green demolition.
