Dry bulk newbuilding activity crashed at the beginning of 2025 and experts believe it will remain depressed this year.
Allied Shipbroking of Greece noted 5m dwt of new bulkers booked in January last year, with January 2025 orders standing 95% lower year on year at only 130,000 dwt.
The current dry bulk orderbook sits at 10.5%
