British shipowner Bibby Line has exited the dry cargo market with the sale of its last supramax bulker.
Shipbrokers say the 56,800-dwt Shropshire (built 2009) has been sold to Louis Dreyfus.
A price of $9.3m is being placed on the Chinese-built vessel, which has been in the hands of the same owner since new.
A spokesperson for Bibby Line confirms the sale but declines to comment on any details or strategic background.
