Berge Bulk is believed to have struck its third VLOC scrap sale of the year.
The James Marshall-led shipowner has offloaded the 289,000-dwt Berge Bureya (built 1993) in an "as-is" deal in Singapore for $410 per ldt, or $15.3m.
The vessel is not due for special survey until 2021, so it is likely that the sale is tied to the end of its long-term charter contract.
