Meghna Industries of Bangladesh has emerged as the buyer of two Malaysian Bulk Carriers (Maybulk) supramaxes in deals that were secured at the end of July.
The acquisitions bring the number of supramax bulkers the company has bought this year on the secondhand market to five.
Details of Meghna’s deal to buy the 58,000-dwt bulkers Alam Molek and Alam Madu (both built 2014) only came to light after the Alam Molek was handed over to the Dhaka-based shipowner in early September and renamed Meghna Sun.
