China's appetite for iron ore continues to push the Baltic Dry Index (BDI) forward with no signs of slowing down after the index exceeded 2,000 points last week.
The index rose to 2,020 points on Friday from 1,869 points on Thursday, breaking the milestone for the first time since 25 September 2019 when it reached 2,063 points.
The BDI continued to rise this week, reaching 2,097 points on Tuesday.
