John Fredriksen has increased his stake in TUI Travel as plans from the holiday group’s parent to spin off Hapag-Lloyd remain in the offing.
The billionaire shipowner has snapped up nearly four million more shares in the UK-based travel company, a regulatory filing showed this week.
Fredriksen has now taken his holding in the company up to 3.32% with 37 million shares in the transaction which was actually effected last Friday through his investment vehicle Monteray Enterprises.
