Hapag-Lloyd is getting ready to launch a pair of new rotations that will link the Adriatic Sea to Egypt and Germany to Russia.

The Hamburg-based containership heavyweight says the first service, dubbed ADX, will connect the Adriatic and two “major” Mediterranean hubs while the second, REX, will unite Germany, Russia, Finland and Poland.

Both loops will offer fixed daily sailings when they launch in early May but the size and quantity of vessels picked to work the runs remains unclear.
