Container giant Hapag-Lloyd could have a plan for how to tackle incoming sulphur emissions laws when its reports its half year results in August.
Chief executive Rolf Habben Jansen told investors and analysts today LNG fueling, scrubbers and the use of compliant fuels are all still on the table at this point.
Speaking on the company’s first quarter conference call, he said LNG was a “viable option” for newbuildings.
