Icelandic container line Eimskip has completed its third company takeover since October as it continues to expand.
The shipowner said it had strengthened its worldwide forwarding services by buying 80% of reefer logistics operation Mareco in Belgium
The deal is costing Eimskip EUR 16.6m ($17.84m), subject to the company’s financial results for last year.
Mareco was founded in 2002 and is based in Antwerp.
