China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL) has entered into a container sale-and-leaseback agreement worth more than $275m.
The Chinese firm, which now focuses on container leasing and ship finance after it transferred its fleet to China Cosco Holdings, has sold 157,970 containers to Florens BVI.
Florens BVI, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of CSCL, is paying $275.38m for the containers.
The total capacity of the containers is 269,797 teu.
