Crowley Liner Services has emerged as the latest casualty of an antitrust investigation into a price fixing scandal tied to trade lanes that connect the US mainland to Puerto Rico.
The US Department of Justice (DoJ) says the liner group was ordered to pay a criminal fine of $17m after it pleaded guilty to criminal charges stemming from an alleged conspiracy involving Jones Act containership operators Horizon Lines, Sea Star Lines and Trailerbridge.
