German heavy-lift and project player BBC Chartering is adding more capacity between the Mediterranean and the US east coast.
The bi-weekly sailing westbound uses its fleet of 180 multipurpose and heavy-lift ships, it said, including ro-ro tonnage.
It said the move was made against a "background of multiple high-impact volume contracts."
“We are pleased to help numerous large scale projects in North America and take this as an opportunity to strengthen our westbound services from the Mediterranean and vice-versa,” said CEO Svend Andersen.
