Anglo-Eastern Ship Management has established a ballast water treatment (BWT) training facility at its Manila base in the Philippines.
Working in conjunction with BWT specialist Optimarin and owner Saga Shipholding, the company is aiming to prepare seafarers to cope with the ratification of the IMO’s Ballast Water Management (BWM) convention.
Trainees will be able to use a complete Optimarin ballast system (OBS), with a pump house and piping.
