The Duran Duran legend performed a karaoke version of the band’s hit Notorious as star-struck brokers and one excited journalist crowded around.
Teen pop sensations JLS had the ladies swooning later on while comedian Ronni Ancona had the lads laughing as she completed an FFA trade doing an impression of Ruby Wax.
The Duchess of Cornwall, hardman actor Ray Winstone and singer Cheryl Cole were among others helping to raise money for charity on the day.
Henry Liddell, chief executive of ICAP’s head of shipping, declared the event a big success.
Dressed as a stern looking school headmaster, he said: “Other brokers take long lunches on this day because they know all the business goes to ICAP.”
