Two general cargoships have been detained in Japan over their oily water separators.

The 2,900-gt vehicle carrier Indigirka (built 1990) spent four days at Fushiki due to a problem with the equipment.



It is operated by Natie Shipping of Vladivostok, Russia.



And the 1,600-dwt Megumi (built 1992) was held for three days at Nagoya. It also had a deficient fire drill, the Japanese government said.
