Debasis Mazumdar has resigned as CEO of the St Kitts & Nevis International Ship Registry.
He will also leave his position as international registrar of shipping and seamen with immediate effect, the registry said.
The man he replaced in 2015, Nigel Smith, has re-assumed the position of international registrar until a decision is made on a replacement.
"Please be assured that with our established quality management system and the experience within this office, I do not expect to see any disruption to International Ship Registry business as a result of this unexpected event," Smith said.
