Wilh Wilhelmsen pours cold water on talk of bulker buy

Wilh Wilhelmsen ASA has shaken off rumours of what would have been a shock foray into dry cargo shipowning.

Chatter in shipbroking circles this week has linked the Oslo-listed company with the 52,000-dwt Global Vanguard (built 2008).

Brokers had placed an $11.4m price tag on the Oshima built bulker.

However, a spokesperson for Wilh Wilhelmsen tells TradeWinds the company has not bought the vessel.
