More than 25% of orders measured in compensated gross tons (cgt) are at South Korea’s big four yards of Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), Samsung Heavy Industries, STX Offshore & Shipbuilding and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME).
Spread the net further and the top 14 shipbuilding groups control 50% of the world orderbook and the leading 40 some 75%.
