Wisdom Marine is understood to be buying the under-construction, 81,600-dwt SBI Merengue — one of three newbuildings that Scorpio Bulkers has been peddling for sale over the past few weeks.
The twist that has raised a smile on sale-and-purchase (S&P) brokers’ faces in this particular deal, however, is that the Taiwan-based company appears to be buying back its own ship as a newbuilding re-resale.
