TT-Line ties up purchase of 'Saga Star'

TT-Line has purchased the 1981-built Ro-Ro passenger/freight ferry Saga

Star from Marseilles-based Compagnie Meridionale de Navigation (CMN)

for around FRF 90m (USD 15m).

The ship was already on bareboat charter to TT-Line in its service

between Rostock in Germany and Trelleborg in Sweden.

A TT-Line spokesman says the company decided to buy the vessel because

it had proved reliable during the four years it had been on charter,

and it was available at an affordable price.
