Lawyers representing Waterlily Maritime Inc, shipowning company of the
38,900-dwt bulker Jessica (built 1977), filed a counter-petition in the
Piraeus court this week fighting BCV's application for permission to
auction the ship,previously managed by Karageorgis. The vessel is
currently under arrest here.
The petition sets out claims against the bank for a total of about USD
55.5m including loss of expected earnings from four vessels and GRD
10bn (about USD 38.5m)
