Greek owner Thenamaris is again dipping its toes into the sale-and-purchase (S&P) market with the acquisition of two modern medium-range (MR) products tankers.
The Dinos Martinos-led company is said to have acquired Socatra’s STX-built, 46,000-dwt chemical/oil tanker Maohi (built 2006) for $18.6m.
It is also understood to have bought the 46,000-dwt High Light (built 2005) for a further $15.6m. The Naikai-built ship is currently managed by Singapore-based Nissho Shipping.
