Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN) is in negotiations to provide shuttle tankers to two oil projects, which could lead the company to order newbuildings, say executives at the New York-listed company.
The projects, which had “substantial shuttle tanker needs”, are in the North Sea and South Atlantic, according to chief executive Nikolas Tsakos.
“These are going to be newbuildings,” he told TradeWinds on the sidelines of the Capital Link International Shipping and Offshore Forum in New York.
