In a recent case management hearing, lawyers for the claimant, Teekay, revealed that a date for a possible six-day long trial has been pencilled in for February 2016.
In the hearing, Justice Phillips ruled on whether disclosure — the searching of documentation — should be required from various parties on both sides of the case. He granted requests on all — including those of Teekay’s president and chief executive, Peter Evensen, for Teekay and his former counterpart at STX Offshore SH Shin — both of whom signed contracts on the newbuildings.
