There is a large and striking painting in Jeremy Grose’s office but it is not of a full rigged clipper, or one of the 8,000 ships the Standard Club insures, nor of stormy seas.
The rather dazzling piece of contemporary art is appropriate, as Grose, who took on the top management role at the 130-year-old protection-and-indemnity (P&I) club earlier this year, has no hesitation in categorising himself as a moderniser rather than a traditionalist.
The
