LNG buyers in Spain are expected to emerge in the market for possibly at least five newbuildings depending on the cargo delivery destinations.
Spain’s Repsol, Enel subsidiary Endesa and Iberdrola are all buying LNG volumes from new US liquefaction projects that will need tonnage, consultants say — but the exact numbers of vessels needed has yet to be clarified.
At least two of these companies have already been seen making early moves in the LNG shipping market.
