The Connecticut Maritime Association (CMA) held its Shipping 2015 conference and exhibition, bringing together regulators, shipowners, lawyers, brokers, builders and others to discuss the latest trends in the industry.
The 30-year-old association prepared to hand its commodore title to Captain Panagiotis Tsakos, the founder of Greece’s Tsakos Shipping & Trading.
But Nikolas Tsakos, his son and chief executive of New York-listed Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN), said another Panagiotis Tsakos will don the hat.
