SARiNOR aims to lead field in Arctic search and rescue

As shipping activity grows in the Arctic, maritime accidents are seen as inevitable and Norway has committed to ensuring effective search and rescue (SAR) services are available in its own and other territories. 

Now in its fourth year, the impetus for the Search and Rescue in the High North (SARiNOR) project stemmed from the Arctic Council’s aeronautical and maritime SAR agreement in 2011.
