Wilbur Ross-backed Diamond S Shipping is said to be in advanced merger discussions with Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG), with an alliance potentially also resulting in the purchase of Principal Maritime’s 12-unit suezmax fleet.
The merger rumours swirling as TradeWinds went to press had a Diamond S/OSG link-up described as “in very serious and advanced talks — they’ve got data rooms set up and everything.”
