The near-defunct Russian oil transporter Volgotanker will have to wait a bit longer to emerge from bankruptcy because a large investor has rejected an offer to save the company.
Russian oil giant Rosneft confirms to TradeWinds that it is "not interested in acquiring" Volgotanker.
Bankruptcy proceedings started for Volgotanker in early August, following a two-year period of an unsuccessful struggle with the state, which charged it with underpaying RUR 4.8bn
