The Texas offshore owner filed lawsuits at the US federal courts in Houston, Miami and New York in an effort to seize assets of Grupo Tradeco, which chartered the 88.4-metre-long multipurpose (MPP) offshore support vessel (OSV) Lewek Toucan (built 2008) early last year.
Houston-based Ranger is also planning to launch arbitration proceedings against the company, according to court records.
Tradeco and Ranger inked the $98,000-per-day charter in January 2014.
