A group of investors is working to install a shipyard on Puerto Rico’s east coast as part of a wider effort to reinvent a former US Navy base on the island.
MidAtlantic Shipyards is aiming to start up operations in 2018 at the former Roosevelt Roads Naval Station and its lease of a section of the shuttered base comes with a drydock already in place.
