The key market for offshore support vessels (OSVs) expanded by 2.7% from June to July with rigs returning to work.

Of the seven tracked global regions, only one lost a working rig. The other six regions held steady or rose month on month, but the net count of rigs is still down 8.5% on the same month last year.

There were 227 working rigs in July, up from 221 in June but down from 248 in July 2016, according to the latest monthly figures from US oil-services company Baker Hughes Inc (BHI).
