The big Ocean Tankers fleet has become the first high-profile outfit to set sail to a new club ahead of the annual renewal of protection-and-indemnity (P&I) cover.
The Singapore owner is moving more than 40 vessels of three million gross tons (gt) out of the North of England Club following a failure to agree renewal terms.
The destination of the fleet is not yet clear but the UK Club could be a beneficiary as it already has part of the Ocean Tankers fleet.
