Owners and brokers report that the project’s chartering arm, North West Shelf Shipping Service Co (NWSSSC), has fixed the 149,172-cbm Fuji LNG (built 2004) for one year in the range of $17,000 to $19,000 per day.
The Moss-type Fuji LNG is being taken in as a replacement for the 145,000-cbm Stena Blue Sky (built 2006), which was fixed to the NWS project in 2015 at a daily rate reported to be in the mid to low-$20,000 range.
