Trader Trafigura has upped the number of VLCCs it has fixed on time charter to six and has placed all of them in the Tankers International (TI) pool.
Brokers report that Trafigura has fixed at least five VLCCs in the past few weeks. They list the 312,679-dwt Genmar Vision and 312,640-dwt Genmar Victory (both built 2001), which were reported taken at $38,000 per day for one-year periods.
