A new chartering outfit has set up shop in Athens this week.
Founded by Antonios Margaritis, previously a tanker chartering broker at Optima with several years of experience in the sector, Marant Shipping and Trading is starting as the in-house broker of a 20,000-dwt clean products tanker owned by Aerio Shipmanagement, which is its first client.
“I spent nearly 20 years working for third parties and now I decided to take the risk and do something on my own,” said Margaritis.
