The IHI-built, 87,000-dwt Alam Pesona (built 2005) has been purchased from Malaysian Bulk Carriers for a firm $6.85m, according to sources. In January, the two-year-younger 88,000-dwt Double Progress (built 2007) was sold for the same price to Seacons Ship Management of Hong Kong.
The Alam Pesona will be the oldest vessel in the Navitas fleet, which currently consists of four bulkers.
