Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) is rumoured to be in pole position to snatch the job of building the floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) that would act as the import terminal for would-be LNG buyer Uruguay.
Industry sources say MOL staff are holding technical clarification meetings in Uruguay this month with GDF Suez, which has been selected as the preferred bidder by co-ordinator Gas Sayago to deliver the GNL del Plata project.
